My name is Osborne Chasuka, and I’ve been helping people learn Chichewa since 2018.
I started out as a Language and Culture Facilitator with Peace Corps Malawi, where I trained incoming volunteers in both the language and everyday cultural practices. Since then, I’ve taught Chichewa to people from all over the world, both in-person and online.
Along the way, I have also offered Chichewa-related services like translations and transcriptions to organizations such as the United Nations Environment Programme and the US Embassy in Malawi.
In addition, I assist with Chichewa language proficiency exams as an assessor at The Language Shop, a UK-based language service provider. In this role, I help conduct and mark assessments to ensure candidates meet the required language standards.
