    CHAPTER I – INTRODUCTION

    I. THE WORD

The Word is a multifaceted spiritual concept, which the natural mind struggles to understand. Firstly the Word is ascribed to God.

Joh 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

    Joh 1:9
-14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spoke,

He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

...No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

God was the Word in the beginning and the Word at the End.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Rev 19:11 -13 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness, he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God

In the Old, the Word of God came and spoke came through prophets and in visions.

1 Sam 15:10 Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,

Gen 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

The Spirit turns the Bible into the Word of God.

Isa 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

The written Word is Spirit breathed and is a light in the darkness and a manual on life.

Heb 4:12 -13 For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

The Word progressively reveal The purposes of God in Time and was set ungaugeable in the heaven from the beginning.

  • INTRODUCTION -WHY THE WORD4:32

    2. WHY THE WORD.

The Bible is not only the GREATEST BOOK and the best BESTSELLER, but it is a manual on LIFE. It not bound to time, though it was recorded in time. The Word progressively guides us through Time, or the Day of Darkness, back to perfection.

Genesis is a vision that reveals the guarantees set in place, to secure the fulfillment of God’s purposes throughout time. The Bible does not only contain God’s purposes, but it also reveals God’s unchangeable, unbreakable love for us.

God, the Word gave himself to secure our eternal lives and then gave us HIS WORD, a manual so we can understand His love and unchangeable purposes. Nothing man do can ever change this HIS WORD.

Ps 1119:89 LAMED. Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

We have all experienced the struggle of assembling an item because we were simply too lazy to read the manual. Finally, a study of a manual saves the day, and gives us the full experience and function of an article. A manual is written by the inventor that can bring out the full potential. It is not wise to purchase an expensive article without a manual and a guarantee. God did not just make us, we were made in His image and likeness, therefore it secures our identity and purpose and help us find stability in our origin. We were not created to struggle for an existence, to finally achieve something, and then die. We were never created to die, but were dumped into the a Day of death, a detour of Time, a hopeless and fallen state, by one man’s disobedience.

Man was made in the image and likeness of God and in disobedience lost the likeness but kept the image. Now, by one man’s obedience, we can find the way back to God’s original purpose. In the fullness of Time God manifested in the image of a man and received the Spirit and the likeness of God in a human form. In obedience, Christ’s body was offered for man's disobedience. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now seals our Spirits. Believers carry a hope of total restoration to God’s original purpose within. We are now sealed unto the final manifestation of the Sons of God into the original plan from the beginning of creation.

Adam missed the mark and LIGHT-LIFE became BLOOD-LIFE, but Jesus offered his blood, so the Spirit working within man can bring us back to eternal LIGHT-LIFE when the sons of God manifest God at the end of time.

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

God did not just give himself to save humanity, He gave us a manual for life, yet most people never understand God’s purposes, because of natural interpretation of spiritual revelations.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receive not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Rom 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man, sin entered the world, and death by sin; and so, death passed upon all men,for that all have sinned:

Rom 5: 17 For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Rom 5: 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Rom 5: 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Rom 5: 8 But God commend his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The wonder of it all is that the one man,

    …was GOD HIMSELF.

Jesus tasted death for us so we can once again taste the GOODNESS of GOD. He became THE WAY OF TRUTH unto LIFE, by total obedience. God not only came to save us, but He also gave us an instruction manual on how to truly live. He securely set a manuscript in place so we can know and understand the purposes in time. The Bible contains the redemption story for humanity and has the answers to all our questions.

    Who am I?...

    Why am I alive?...

    What is life?...

    Where do I come from?...

    Where is everything heading?...

Paul urges us to run our race and he explains to the Corinthian church that we have a forerunner, who already went beyond the veil, and won the prize. We need to obtain what he did by running our race, laying aside our own desires, and stepping into the Way of Life HE opened for us. Jesus said to the Pharisees of His Day.

John 8:14 “I know where I come from, and I know where I am going.”

The time has come that we know what He did for us and what His purpose for our lives is. WE HAVE A MANUAL on eternal life, and the road is explained in the written Word all we must do is follow the road signs. Proverbs one in the Message Bible is a clear indication of why we need to read the Bible.

A Manual for Living written down

    - so, we will know how to live well and right.

    - to understand what life means and where it is going.

    - for instruction on what is right and just and fair.

    - to teach the inexperienced the ropes.

    - to give our young people a grasp on reality.

    - there’s something here also for seasoned men and women, still a thing or two for the experienced to learn.

    - fresh wisdom to probe and penetrate, the rhymes and reasons of wise men and women.

    Start with God

    - to start with God the first step in learning is bowing down to God.

    - only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning.

  • THE VALUE OF THE BOOK5:30

    2. THE VALUE OF THE BOOK.

The Bible is the most valuable manuscript found on earth and no other script can be compared to it. It’s origin is not from this natural realm and therefore cannot be valued on earth. Though the Bible was written by scribes, God himself is the author. This book is not bound to time but reveal time and is inexhaustive. It cannot be interpreted with the natural mind that is locked in a fallen state, bound by time and earthy knowledge, where everything is temporal and on a road to ultimate destruction.

The book of Peter clearly paints this picture of the human condition.

1 Pet 1:24 For all flesh is as grass and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower thereof fall away:

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receive not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The real problem comes when the natural mind turns carnal.

Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Man was incapable of saving himself, but God himself came in human form and brought a reformation by opening man’s conscience.

Jesus opened the prison of death and man can now be born again, shaking off this realm of death.

1 Pet 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever.

The Bible is a spiritual book that following the history of the seed line of God, thus having eternal value. The Word is SPIRIT BREATHED, revealing GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSES worked out in time.

    • The Bible contains HISTORY that stretches from the beginning of CREATION and the beginning of TIME with the fall of Adam to approximately 90AD after the burning down of Jerusalem.

    • The SPIRIT WORD reveals God’s ultimate purpose for man from creation, before time, throughout history, revealing the seed-line of Christ, and the completion of His work, beyond 70AD, even to the end of time.

The WORD reveals the guarantees that God set in place from the beginning of creation and states the fact that the END would be REST.

The end is always set from the beginning, like DNA.

Isa 46:9 -10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

God is Spirit, but to live on the earth, a body was required. Genesis describes the first body God formed and the fall of Adam, which ignited a battle for SEED. The purpose of SEED is a BODY, and the purpose of a body is a dwelling for the SPIRIT.

    • The Bible History is the story of the nation that was formed to bring forth the body in which the eternal Spirit would find a dwelling, thus, restoring man to his rightful position.

    • Heaven was also in preparation for this heavenly body to come to earth and at certain points.

Through Old Testament history heaven opened to the prophets revealing this preparation that coincided with the history on earth. God Himself prepared to come to rescue humanity.

    • Satan also formed his body through the kingdoms of the world, and this was revealed to Daniel when he interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream about the statue: The image of the beast resembled the body of Satan.

The first world was destroyed with water, dealing with the curse of water, as to bring forth the world of the LAW that would prepare the body in which the Spirit of God would dwell. Christ fulfilled the law by becoming the Lord of the SABBATH. God became a man and tasted death on our behalf and became our REST. He sacrificed His body, so we can become His BODY ON EARTH, sealed with the Spirit of peace and truth to guarantee of our eternal inheritance. WOW!

The battle for man’s soul took place on the earth at a spiritually high place called Armageddon. The LION from the tribe of Judah freely gave himself and became the LAMB to be slain, the final sacrifice. He became obedient unto death and became the way to life. THE LION A LAMB. The Tree of Life, Christ, was nailed to the tree of curse; the tree of “good and evil”, to set humanity free.

o In the garden the tree of LIFE was closed, protected by cherubim and a sword as Adam left the garden, preventing man to partake of life and be stuck in death.

o Christ, the tree of life was opened by the sword so we can freely eat of Life.

The judgement of nations started in Babylon and all the trees were chopped down till only one stump remained.

Isa 10:34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

    Isa 11:1-2 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

In the garden Peter was not allowed to protect this tree, it had to be chopped down, fulfilling Isaias’s prophesy. Jesus even restored the soldier's ear that Peter cut off, revealing the restoration of the hearing of His voice. Just imagine this same soldier continued in the prosecution process, after his healing. We must hear what the Spirit says so that you can know and understand God’s purposes.

To taste is to SEE, but you must EAT is to LIVE.

Ps 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.

The Law was just a shadow, a preparation.

Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Jesus was the body prepared and he became the Christ, the dwelling place of the Spirit.

Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou would not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

The Bible is all about this body given.

Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Christ is the fulfillment of all the purposes of God and only in Him can we be restored. He prepared Himself, a place for us. This place is a person. CHRIST became the place prepared for us, and only in Him, we can live. Jesus did not come to show the way, HE IS THE WAY.

John 14:2 & 3 - In my father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Christs body became the final sacrifice, for the spirit to be poured out, which now indwells the hearts of believers. The Son of man returned on the clouds of heaven, to complete the work that was started on the cross. He dealt with that wicked generation that pierced him, to remove the old, so believers to enter the Kingdom.

Heb 9:8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

The value of the Word is immeasurable for there we find the beginning of creation, the beginning of time as well as the end of time, unto a Kingdom that will never end. Times, seasons, generations and the different worlds are all laid down in the Word. However, the way you handle the WORD determines its value in your life.

Not understanding times and seasons results in confusion of doctrines birthed from the natural mind of man. The Bible contains all the information humanity needs for living, and to lead us to the final coming and consummation of all and our eternal existence.

  • CHOOSE THE CORRECT ANSWER.
  • THE AUTHOR9:59

    4. THE AUTHOR.

God, Himself is the author of this book, but it was physically written by chosen scribes. The Bible is a compilation of written scripts of history known as the WORD of GOD. The forty scribes of the sixty-six books of the Bible came from all walks of life and were written over a period of about one thousand six hundred years. Only some of the New Testament authors knew each other, and even they wrote letters to the newly birthed churches, when their paths had been separated.

    • Moses wrote Genesis, but he lived approximately 1600 BC, which would be 2500 years after Adam. Adam was only created on Day Six.

    • The last books written were John’s gospel and 1,2 & 3 John, by the Apostle John around 80-90AD.

    • All the books are confirmed in the other books and they all consist of one theme; they all point to Christ.

ONLY GOD could orchestrate such a task as to get so many individuals to actually write one story.

Heb 10:7 … Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

The Holy Spirit inspired men to write the stories and histories of their time, while they themselves did not necessarily understand what they were doing. These various authors were moved by the Spirit and their stories foreshadowed and reaffirmed each other’s writings over this extended period.

2 Pet 1: 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

God spoke to them in dreams and visions and even Angels appeared, revealing God’s purposes. A voice came to them, and God appeared to Abraham as a Melchizedek, the KING of PEACE confirming His covenant to humanity.

    Heb 1:1 & 2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

The Word of God is settled in heaven from the beginning and confirmed when the risen Christ revealed the mysteries were revealed, that had been kept hidden through ages. Paul; the apostle born out of due time. Was given the dispensation of the revealing of the mysteries

Eph 3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

1 Cor 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

The apostles were the last appointed unto death.

1 Cor 4:9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it was appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

God has now given His Spirit, within the hearts of believers, as a guarantee, and he will shew your things to come.

God’s final word to every church is to; “Hear what the Spirit says.” The Spirit will not lead you where the Word cannot sustain you. The written WORD is Spirit breathed and reveals the WORD of GOD

  • CHOOSE THE CORRECT ANSWER.
  • HOW TO STUDY9:51

    5. HOW TO STUDY THE WORD.

The way we study the Word is very important.

2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We are to divide the WORD OF TRUTH, not THE body. Churches are divided because the Word is being divided incorrectly by fleshly interpretations and the carnal doctrines of man's imagination.

Rom 8:5-6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

When you separate Grace and Truth, you do not understand the character of God. God loves the sinner but despises sin.

Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

The body has character, and we cannot pull apart God’s character. When dividing the body, we end up with religious movements that are unable to carry the heart of God. We cannot disconnect Grace and Truth. They are inseparable.

2 Cor 2:7 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Dividing the Word has to do with understanding TIMES, SEASONS, and REALMS revealing the progression towards the purposes of God. Times are important and are confirmed by the fact that Jesus came in the fullness of time.

Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

If we are ignorant of times and the different worlds in time, we find ourselves lost in the corridors of time and then we misplace prophecies and never come to understand God’s purposes in time and with our lives.

God is not the author of confusion.

The carnal mind is to blame.

    We cannot change history.

We can only apply the Word by the Spirit.

The Bible explains itself and the Spirit will never lead you where the word cannot sustain the facts.

The WORD is SPIRIT BREATHED, and all is CONNECTED.

Isa 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth, it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Connecting the words and prophecies reveals the patterns. There is purpose in every word in the WORD of GOD. The Bible is not a book full of stories to entertain Christians and to help us have a better life. It is the revelation of the fall of humanity and the redemption brought by Jesus Christ, taking us to the eternal purposes of God. The same light that shone into darkness at the beginning of creation now shines in our hearts at the beginning of our new life.

2 Cor 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Jesus the light that shone in darkness is also the face of God that Moses was not permitted to see. Only light drives darkness out.

2 Pet 1:19 We have also a more, sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

The Bible is clear on how we ought to interpret the Word.

2 Pet 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

The carnal natural mind is veiled with blindness and opposes the purposes of God.

1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

    HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS

o Read the Word, not just verses.

o Compare scriptures and find their mates

o Divide Times, Seasons, and Realms.

Description

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

We are not to divide the body of Christ,  we are to  RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. Natural interpretations of God\s Word has caused so much schisms and divisions that  the church is hardly . recognisable comparing to what we find in the Bible.

When we divide the character of God, we end up with movements. We are not suppose to be a movement, the church is a BODY. You cannot be part of this Body if you do not stay connected with the head.

To rightly divided the Word is to decree between times seasons and realms. Christ came in the fullness of TIME, and He declared:Ï am from above, and you are from Beneath". In John he told the Pharisees that He is in heaven, while He was on earth.

Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Not understanding realms leaves us ungrounded with all the scripture knowledge we have.

Not understanding times, leaves us lost in the corridors of time.

Jesus was our forerunner that went right within the vail. clearly He knew who He was and what His purpose was.

Joh 8:14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go;

God appoints times and seasons and we cannot change that, but when we understand the appointed times ice can step into what God have purposed for us. To often we want to find our purpose  outside of God's appointed plans. This leaves us forever seeking and never entering.

As time goes revelation grows. The time has come to understand God\s WORD.
