Course content

12 sections • 70 lectures • 9h 41m total length
  • Welcome: A New Era for the PMP® Certification8:44

Get oriented to the biggest change to the PMP® exam in years. This opening lecture explains what the July 2026 exam means for you, including its increased emphasis on business value, AI, sustainability, and real-world judgment. You’ll also review the rebalanced domain weightings, updated eligibility rules, and exam format and see how this course will prepare you for them.

Whether you're a few years in or a seasoned pro finally getting certified, you'll leave knowing exactly why this credential matters now and how this course is built to get you there.

ECO: Course orientation — no task mapping.

  • How This Course Is Organized10:26

Your roadmap through the course. This lecture shows you how all twelve sections fit together and, more importantly, why they're ordered the way they are. You'll see how every lecture maps back to the official 2026 PMP Examination Content Outline. It explains why the course opens with People rather than Process, how the delivery sections build on one another, where the execution machinery sits and why, where AI enters the picture, and when to take each of the two full practice exams.

Watch this before you go any further: understanding the structure is what turns 70 lectures into a study plan.

  • Build Your Personal Exam Strategy4:09

A study plan built on optimism is a study plan that slips. You’ll build a realistic PMP® exam-preparation strategy from four honest inputs: your current readiness, your delivery experience, the study time you actually have each week, and your target exam date. You’ll map that onto the Exam Content Outline, schedule regular scenario practice instead of passive review, set milestones you can measure, and write down a commitment you can sustain for the length of the run.

  • How the 2026 Exam Asks Questions10:24

The 2026 exam doesn’t just ask new questions; it asks them in new shapes. You’ll work through all eight formats PMI now uses: case or scenario, graphic-based, enhanced matching, matching, point and click, pull-down list, multiple-choice single response, and multiple-response. You’ll see which four are available only at a test center on computer-based testing, how each format changes your reading strategy and your decision process, and where each one quietly costs you time if you treat it like a standard multiple-choice item.

ECO: Exam mechanics — no task mapping.

  • Practice the Formats This Platform Can’t Show You7:14

You now know all eight 2026 question formats. This one is about a practical problem: a course platform’s quiz engine can only render two of them. You’ll see which formats you can drill here, which you can’t, and the part that matters — how to practice a point-and-click or drag-and-drop item when you can’t click or drag. Then you’ll get a free companion practice set that covers the interactive formats properly, plus a protocol for using it so it builds judgment rather than familiarity.

  • PMP 2026 Diagnostic Assessment - 180 Questions

Requirements

  • No prior study or experience required. The course is open to project enthusiasts and to project managers preparing for the PMP exam
  • Check your eligibility with PMI before booking: the 2026 rules require 24–60 months of project experience depending on your education, plus 35 hours of project management training
  • The 9+ hours of instruction here can count toward that 35-hour total as self-paced training with an end-of-course assessment, but it does not cover all 35 on its own

Description

The PMP exam changed in July 2026. This course is built for the exam you’ll actually sit.

PMI didn’t tweak the PMP; they rebuilt it. Business Environment jumped from 8% to 26% of the exam, People dropped from 42% to 33%, and Process from 50% to 41%. AI and sustainability are now testable, and the focus has shifted from reciting process to judging outcomes and delivering value. If you’re studying from old-exam material, you’re preparing for a test that no longer exists.

Every task. Not most of them.

The Examination Content Outline (ECO) is what PMI writes the exam from: 26 tasks across three domains. Each one gets its own lecture, slides, and exam cues, including the ones prep courses often skim: resources and RACI, procurement and contracts, finance and reserves, quality, status and metrics, change control, closure, and continuous improvement.

Sequenced for learning, not for list order.

The course follows how the work actually connects. People come first, because almost every Process and Business Environment scenario hinges on a judgment call about people. Then delivery as one arc: agile mindset, life cycles and tailoring, frameworks (Lean, Kanban, Disciplined Agile, Scrum, SAFe), estimation, and complexity and risk. Then organizational reality, the execution machinery, and finally integration and exam readiness. Each section builds on the one before it.

Learn to read the question.

About 40% of the 2026 exam is predictive, and 60% adaptive or hybrid, so nearly every topic is taught three ways. Decision-cue lessons teach you to spot what a scenario is really asking. Fixed end date and a resource conflict? That’s smoothing, and leveling is the distractor. An identified risk that has occurred? Contingency reserve, no approval needed. You’ll build a library of these.

Who’s teaching it

I’m Christine Aykac. I earned my PMP in 2001 after more than a decade running projects, started teaching PMP prep in 2005, and launched my first course in 2014, reaching students worldwide. When PMI announced the 2026 changes, I rebuilt this course from scratch around the new outline rather than patching old material.

An honest note

The 2026 exam is new. This course is built around the official outline and the areas where candidates historically lose the most marks, and it will continue to improve as more people sit the exam. You’re enrolled for every update, and if anything doesn’t match your exam experience, please let me know.

Want support beyond the course? Join the Exam Prep Coaching sessions within the Lead with Confidence community for open discussions, live practice, and support from fellow PMP candidates. You’ll find the details on my Udemy profile.

Start with the Diagnostic Assessment before Section 2. The point isn’t to score well; it’s to find out where you are, so the rest of the course has a target.

I look forward to guiding you through it.

Christine

  • Project managers preparing for the PMP exam for the first time under the July 2026 outline
  • Anyone who studied for the pre-2026 exam and needs to understand what actually changed
